Scott Ferguson

Scott Ferguson has been a photographer in St. Louis for nearly twenty-five years and has been the “F” of Ferguson & Katzman Photography for twenty of those years. Because change can be very good, he recently left his company to go solo again but will be working with a new creative team.

Scott has been the recipient of many creative awards, including the ARC awards, the Addy Awards, Graphis and Communication Arts (awarded for both Photography and Advertising). He has been fortunate to work with many major clients across the country, such as Alcon, Anheuser-Busch, Bally’s Resorts Las Vegas, Corona, Jack Daniels, Forbes, General Motors, Men’s Journal, Monsanto, the New York Times, Roche Pharmaceuticals and ScottTrade, to name few.

To help keep his work and life in perspective, Scott has been taking an annual sabbatical doing volunteer educational work in Nicaragua for the last six years.

“The goal is to provide, in a very small way, whatever is needed at the time of the trip, whether it is painting a school, building a wall or hauling materials”, Scott says. He finds the work very rewarding.

In the 1990s, Scott was a pioneer in the emerging field of digital photography and became recognized for his photo illustration work in the commercial and editorial fields. He is still passionate about bringing his digital expertise to the craft of making images, both because he feels strongly that it’s a key part of the creative process, and frankly, because it’s fun.
